Dominican Republic - Guest country at the Gran Salón Inmobiliario in Bogota

The XVII version of the Gran Salón Inmobiliario, which took place between August 10 and 13 in Bogota, Colombia, featured the Dominican Republic as guest of honor.
During its participation, the Dominican Republic presented a wide real estate offer, supported by its growing tourism, its infrastructure and the good economic moment the country is going through, which is excellent for the strategy of many Colombians to dollarize their patrimony, providing them with more economic security.
The real estate offer included a wide range of projects, ranging from tourist developments such as resorts and beachfront condominiums to residential projects including houses, apartments and townhouses. Investment projects were also highlighted, such as shopping centers, retail and office space, with a focus on economic returns through rent or sale. A novelty was the inclusion of retirement projects, providing options for senior living communities and specialized services. Also on display were projects focused on sustainability and environmental protection, incorporating green technologies and eco-friendly architectural design.
The fair also had several panels where immigration and tax aspects for the Colombian investor in the Dominican Republic were discussed, taking into account the considerations and regulations that have to do with the residence and permanence of foreign investors and secondly, the incentives, benefits and tax aspects involved in investing in the Dominican Republic.
