Pellerano Nadal participates in AMCHAMDR’s Dominican Week 2024

Pellerano Nadal is proud to have been part of the delegation that participated in the 32nd edition of Dominican Week, organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR). During a week of meetings in Washington D.C. and New York, commercial, diplomatic, and cultural ties between the Dominican Republic and the United States were strengthened, consolidating the country’s role as a strategic partner for foreign investment and economic development.

In a meeting with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), economic and fiscal perspectives for the Dominican Republic were discussed, emphasizing the need for long-term policies to ensure sustainable economic growth. Experts from institutions such as the World Bank and Bank of America analyzed ongoing fiscal reforms and the country's role in regional trade.

The event also included a luncheon with Ambassador Lisa Kubiske, where the collaboration of the Dominican Republic in the Alliance for Economic Prosperity in the Americas (APEP) and preparations for the 2025 Summit of the Americas were discussed. Additionally, the delegation visited the United Nations headquarters to address issues of international cooperation and global trade.

In the realm of innovation and sustainability, the delegation participated in an event organized by AES Corporation, where opportunities for the transition to renewable energy were explored. In New York, the innovative "Resonance" project, which uses artificial intelligence to transform the textile industry towards a more sustainable model, was presented.

The tourism sector and investment opportunities in the Dominican Republic were highlighted at an event at the Bank of America headquarters, with the participation of leaders from ASONAHORES and the Ministry of Tourism. Additionally, the role of the stock market as a key source of financing for strategic sectors was emphasized.

Dominican Week also celebrated Dominican talent abroad, recognizing Laura Jiménez, Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of State, and Scarlin Hernández, NASA spacecraft engineer, for their outstanding contributions in their fields.

Pellerano Nadal's participation in Dominican Week reaffirms its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and the economic development of the Dominican Republic, positioning itself as a key player in the country’s growth and the attraction of new investments.
