Qatar's Dominican Week 2021

From the 15th to the 19th of November 2021 | Doha, Qatar.

The Dominican Embassy in Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the launch of Dominican Week in Qatar, 2021 edition, with the main interest of strengthening ties between both countries.


Luis Rafael Pellerano and Ricardo Pellerano Nadal, along with a delegation from the public and private sectors of the Dominican Republic, participated in different events and private meetings with businessmen, executives, officials and other professionals from Qatar and the region.


Regarding the 2021 edition of Dominican Week in Qatar, a meeting that served to strengthen political, commercial and cultural ties between Qatar and the Dominican Republic, our Managing Partner Luis Rafael Pellerano participated in the panel “Dominican Republic: The Hub of opportunities of the Americas”, an event organized by the Dominican Embassy in Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic.

On the panel he was accompanied by: Biviana Riveiro | Executive Director of the Center for Export and Investment of the Dominican Republic (Prodominicana), and Sigmund Freund Mena | General Director of the General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships (DGAPP).

The 2021 edition of the Dominican Week in Qatar in which different members of the public and private sectors of the Dominican Republic participated, including Vice President Raquel Peña, was focused on promoting the Dominican Republic as a destination for investment, trade and tourism, giving to know the export offer of goods and services, with the main interest of strengthening ties between both countries.

Luis Rafael Pellerano and Ricardo Pellerano Nadal participated in different events and private meetings organized by the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Qatar, Georges Bahsa Hazim, and by Carlos Espaillat, Deputy Chief of Mission of said Embassy. In these high-level private meetings, they discussed the interest of boosting investment in various industries in our country, mainly through public-private partnership projects.

Qatar has the third largest natural gas reserve in the world, making it the country with the highest per capita income on the planet and the second highest human development index in the Arab world, after the United Arab Emirates. In addition to being one of the most peaceful countries in the world, the World Bank recognizes its economy as high-income.
