Sebastián Linera focusses his practice in Corporate Law, Sports and Entertainment, Intellectual Property, Mergers & Acquisitions, Project Finance and Foreign Investments in the Dominican Republic.

Sebastian´s representative experience includes working with the team that assisted Barrick Gold Corporation in the due diligence process prior to the joint venture with Precipitate Dominicana for the acquisition of part of the Pueblo Grande Project.
He also worked on the due diligence process for the sale of Tabacalera de Garcia, Industrial Brands and he provided legal advice to Whitehaven Holdings in several financings for their mining concessions.
Sebastian has lead the legal team formed by the Normalization Committee of the Dominican Football Federation (FEDOFUTBOL), named by FIFA. The team was directly responsible for the legal incorporation and adequation under law 122-05 of more than 150 clubs and 20 football associations nationwide. He also worked with FIFA in order to modify the By-Laws of FEDOFUTBOL and its member associations, applying the best international governance practices. As Legal Director, he organized the elections for FEDOFUTBOL and its member associations.

Sebastián received his Bachelor of Laws LL.B. degree, from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in 2019 and completed the Seminar “Introduction to American Law” at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. He has also participated in courses and seminars on issues related to Corporate and Commercial Law, Intellectual Property, Criminal Law and US Law, among other subjects.
